Dolina Glamping

It is time to forget about camping in Romania and start thinking about glamping in Romania in the comfortable Dolina Glamping of Zece Hotare, Bihor.

Glamping, or glamorous camping is a new way of experiencing the outdoors, without losing too much of the comfort of a cabin or room. Dolina is the first glamping in Romania offering private bathrooms and kitchenettes on each platform.

We unzipped the door of our first tent in July 2021. By the end of august, we had four tents standing, each equipped with premium beds (two single and one double), sleeping up to four people. The tents rest on a generous wooden platform, offering a lovely view of the surroundings.

Each of the four tents has something unique, while offering the same facilities. The traditional décor elements inside differ from tent to tent. The floors are decorated with hand-woven colorful woolen carpets, the beds have hand-made traditional covers and each tent has a different piece of furniture inside that gives it just a bit more personality.

The platform holds more facilities than the great view. Every platform is also a terrace, with a nice pick-nick table and umbrella. The kitchenette, also outside, is well equipped for the outdoorsy chef: there are plates, pan, pot, cutlery, glasses, mugs, coffee maker and a stove with two burners. The kitchen has a small counter and a sink. Naturally, each platform has a barbeque ready for use.

The bathrooms are inside the buildings on the platforms. Each bathroom has a walk-in shower and toilet. Towels are complementary.

Dolina Glamping is open from May to November. Each tent has a wooden stove, to keep warm on the cold spring and autumn nights.
